The 411 on spray paint

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I made a little bit of progress on the kitchen, but otherwise we just enjoyed having hubby home for four days straight! School’s out for summer!!  ;) Whoohoo! If you’ve read this blog for 2.1 seconds, you know how much I luuurve spray paint. In my humble opinion, there is no cheaper way to transform accessories and furniture. And floor vents.

OK, if you are a connoisseur of kitchen sinks, you will LOVE this post. If not, well…ummmmm…you won’t need your sleeping pill tonight. Just read ahead. :) I have to say…the installation of the kitchen sink has convinced me that this will be the last sink we ever own – at least in this house. It was a doozy. Remember when I asked your advice on the double or single sink on this post? I had

I’ll share more on that in a bit, but first I wanted to tell you about a fantastic Web site for you garage sale freaks-who-get-up-at-7a.m. lovahs out there. 36 hours in NYC

Well howdy! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! Ours was a whirlwind! My hubby and I took a little “jaunt” to New York City with a few friends for the weekend. Actually, it was a business trip for hubby and some of his coworkers, and I tagged along. A trip to NYC is non-negotiable. This wife is going, every. single. time.  :) If you’ve read this blog for a while, you know New York is my

The Wuslu site

Organization bliss

**Edited to add: I got the organizer from Target, in the electronics section. LURVE. While I work on the kitchen redo, I’m still working on things here and there in our office as well . I was reeeeally hoping to share my desk redo tonight, but it’s taking foreva and a day to paint. More on that soon! Add in a trillion trips to Home Depot for the kitchen, and it’s taking even longer.  ;) But I’m

What to do with the STUFF?

Well THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments and thoughts on my last post! I’m so excited about the kitchen redo! I’m pretty sure I’ve been to Home Depot nine times in the last three days, so they should know me by name soon.  ;) I hope to get our sink and faucet installed this week, but it’s not an easy job I know, so we’ll see. I’m being patient. Being patient. Being patient. (If I keep

A not-so-mini kitchen redo!

Helloooo there! Hope you had a great weekend! I am SO EXCITED to share some fun news with you – I’m talking giddy, I am not worthy, glorious news. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I have been planning a mini redo of our  kitchen: It’s usually a bit more dressed up than in this picture, but I had just decluttered, so the extra stuff was outta there that day. :) I think I totally freaked

Bloggy Butt

First off – the winner of the Dimples and Dandelions giveaway is Kellie DeMille! Kellie, please email me and I’ll get you in touch with the D&D folks! Congrats!

OK, so I’m not one to obsess about my weight. Most of the time I’m too busy with life to think about it much.

I don’t diet – never have. I just know myself and know what I’m willing to do to keep my weight in check and eating very

DIY drum shade chandelier

Well, if you follow me on Twitter, you know this project has been a doozy. It started with my need for more light in our office/den. I mentioned last week that part of my issue with this space is it’s so dark. I talked to our electrician a while back about installing an overhead light in this room. Because of the way the beams run in the ceiling, it would be a major project I’m not willing to

Before and After Party! (A chair redo)

I thought it was high time I showed you the after of the chair I redid for the IndyStyle show last month! It was quite the transformation – from totally-disgusting-I-can’t-believe-I’m-touching-this to ooh la la, I would totally sit my behind on that! I didn’t take pictures of the whole process but luckily I’ve shown you how to do this before, so I stole pics from this old post. ;) Let’s start

Where do you start?

So basically every. single. time. I finish up a big project, I swear up and down I’m going to take a few weeks and do nothing but finish up little projects around the house. It’s all the little unfinished stuff that no one else notices but me, but it’s also the little stuff that drives me just a teensy bit nutso every time I walk by – molding corners that need to be caulked, holes that need to

A big boy room reveal!

Well…it’s done! And I am in LURVE. It’s been raining for two days straight, so I was rushing like mad to get pics while it was somewhat bright out earlier today. It’s not all perfect, but who cares. I am in love.  :) (Because I am a special kind of crazy, I may retake some of these when we get a sunny day this week.) In my next post I will give you the low down on all the little details, but
